From single-rotor to multi-rotor propulsion, the evaluations in the field of VTOL technology focuses highly on enhancing the systems’ reliability. Aircraft are gradually becoming smaller and lighter, and so are the payloads mounted on them, which positively affects their performance and stability.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">VTOL technology will develop at all scales into a more capable force as runways and fixed operations decrease. We will be able to operate from remote sites more effectively as well as for longer periods of time.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The following article shares Viisights’ collaboration with the city of Eilat, as it becomes the first Israeli city to promote Israel’s “City Without Violence” program.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Viisights , Inc., the developer of innovative behavioural recognition systems for real-time video intelligence, has deployed a new installation in the city of Eilat, Israel to detect, predict and analyse events of interests in real-time and alert authorities of crowding, violent/suspicious activity, traffic, or crowd congestion, and more. Deployment of the unique behavioural analytics solution was fast-tracked in preparation for the large number of tourists who typically flood the city during the Passover and upcoming holiday season.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Viisights behavioural analytics software is integrated into the city’s extensive surveillance system, which includes over 300 cameras that are monitored from a centralized command and control centre. viisights solution can monitor hundreds of cameras in real-time, and upon recognition or prediction of unusual behaviour, a command centre operator receives an immediate alert in real-time and can notify the authorities.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Eilat is the first city in Israel to advance Israel’s smart city “City without Violence” initiative. Avinoam Nahari, Director of the city’s information methods and systems division in charge of the project, stated that the viisights behavioural analytics solution enables the city to address abnormal events quickly and efficiently for the benefit of its residents and visitors’ safety and security.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Viisights behavioural analytics employ Artificial Intelligence (AI) to detect, analyse, and understand actions and events. This unprecedented level of video understanding is based on a unique implementation of deep neural networks capable of analysing and defining specific activities using video streams from conventional existed security cameras.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Eilat deployed the viisights solution to autonomously increase situational awareness and generate alerts on events of interest such as crowding events, violence, predicting people gatherings, and more.</span></p>

Cataclysmic changes are happening all around us, and Tar Ideal is not idle. There are big projects in the pipeline. The Tar Ideal team is preparing to expand into new fields, acquire new technologies, and adapt effectively to the current reality. A key challenge for TAR is the escalating situation in eastern Europe.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“The war in Ukraine is a major game-changer“, says Hadar Szipro, CEO of TAR Ideal Concept. “In terms of current projects and future ones, the situation is dramatic.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We’ve demonstrated our ability to deliver a wide range of equipment on short notice to countries surrounding Ukraine“.</span></p>
<h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">Our DNA is versatility &amp; the ability to adapt to situations in real-time, simply put, “we deliver”</span></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Szipro explains how geopolitical shifts are influencing governments to change how they tackle border issues and threats: “There is growing anxiety in Poland, which shares borders with Ukraine. Other countries in Eastern Europe have begun to buy equipment as they have never done before. Millions of sets of body armour and helmets have been ordered for their soldiers.״ ״It’s become apparent that preparation for emergencies is essential. Armoured vehicles, howitzer cannons, and other heavy equipment are needed. Fear of unconventional threats has also led to a massive purchase of CBRN equipment, respirator masks, CBRN suits, gas mask filters, and respiratory protective equipment.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“TAR Ideal has allocated an extensive portion of its resources to address this issue. We assigned specific people to areas in eastern Europe – Lithuania, Romania, Poland, Croatia, and Bulgaria. Their responsibility is to understand their concerns and requirements and present TAR’s comprehensive offering to the relevant parties and decision-makers whether to the prime minister’s office, the ministry of defence, or government offices.”</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“It is clear that the EU and NATO are already thinking about the day after the war in Ukraine ends. Their attitude toward borders has changed. The focus is shifting from homeland security to defence. Budgets are being increased by billions, and anti-tank missiles, air defence systems, explosive UAVs, and armed robotic systems are being purchased. EU and NATO are moving in this direction. As a company, we are ready to provide everything that is required to adapt to the new European reality”.</span></p>
<h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">Can we draw any historical conclusions from today’s events in Ukraine?</span></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“It is natural to try and compare today’s situation to the past. In the first world war, Germany invaded a number of countries in Europe, lost, drew back, strengthened its army, learned the lessons, and then went to war again. I believe that Russian doctrine will follow a similar pattern. Following the end of the Ukraine war, there will be a quiet period of four or five years, followed by another war.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">How has the war in Ukraine affected the perception of borders in the EU?</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Prior to the war, European governments focused on keeping people off borders, immigrants, drug smugglers, etc. Today, the EU perceives borders as possible war zones. They are interested in systems that can identify perpetrators and intercept. The days of relying only on surveillance cameras are over”.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">The Thai government established clear rules determining that anyone who wants to fly a drone would need permission from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand, the agency responsible for regulating drones, and comply with the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission. The Royal Thai Police, with its national Central Investigation Bureau, is gearing up against drone threats.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">The popularity of drones is undeniable, and the increase in drone sales in Thailand has raised terror risk concerns. Although most are flown recreationally by hobbyists or professionally for photography, real estate, construction surveying, and agriculture, some can potentially be used for intelligence gathering in and around military facilities.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">In recent incidents, law enforcement reported seizing drones attempting to fly over Bangkok’s Royal Palace, government property, </span><a style="color: #000000;" href="https://www.skylock1.com/anti-drone-solutions/military-bases/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">military</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> grounds and even </span><a style="color: #000000;" href="https://www.skylock1.com/anti-drone-solutions/airport-protection/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">airports</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. The law explicitly states that all drones equipped with cameras must be registered –  any drone weighing more than 2 kg must be listed at the CAAT aviation authority, and drones over 25 kg would need to register with the Ministry of Transportation. Reports show that many drones have entered prohibited areas and controlled airspace.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">Limitations on the operators have also been put in place – any tourist over twenty years old wanting to enter the country with a drone and use it safely must register upon landing for a two-year registration with the NBTC and CAAT and provide a passport number, drone serial numbers, and a drone insurance policy. As expected, flying any drone within nine kilometres of any airport or airfield is forbidden. No autonomous drones are allowed with a pre-programmed flight path, as a line of sight is always required.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Unfortunately, legislation cannot cover all bases. Unregistered drones are used daily for leisure by tourists or private individuals and can pose possible threats. To prevent incursions, critical infrastructures need to be protected with </span><a style="color: #000000;" href="https://www.skylock1.com/verification-anti-drone-systems/electro-optics-target-verification/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">EO/IR</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> target verification systems and </span><a style="color: #000000;" href="https://www.skylock1.com/verification-anti-drone-systems/radar-precision-tracker/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">radar</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> precision trackers, creating a full turnkey solution that detects, identifies, and tracks drones and provides proper intelligence for geolocation.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Law enforcement authorities would, without a doubt, require mobile systems for large </span><a style="color: #000000;" href="https://www.skylock1.com/anti-drone-solutions/mass-events/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">events</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, demonstrations and public gatherings. The last mass event occurred during King Bhumibol’s </span><a style="color: #000000;" href="https://www.skylock1.com/counter-drone-systems/vip-dome-pro/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">funeral</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> in 2017, where a crowd of a quarter of a million people witnessed the ceremonies, creating an easy target for anti-government or terrorist activity. Similar events must be protected using a </span><a style="color: #000000;" href="https://www.skylock1.com/counter-drone-systems/mobile-units/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">mobile unit</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> to be deployed and detect any intrusion.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Detecting unauthorised drones flying over restricted areas and enforcing strict rules would require the right tools, training, and infrastructure. Only a strong legislative foundation and the right resources would allow law enforcement to mitigate UAS attacks successfully. Deploying counter-drone systems in specific perimeters would require </span><a style="color: #000000;" href="https://www.skylock1.com/counter-drone-systems/mobile-units/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">mobile</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> and </span><a style="color: #000000;" href="https://www.skylock1.com/counter-drone-systems/rf-detector-jammer/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">fixed</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> anti-drone solutions.</span></span></p>
